EDA - Electrical Design and Automation was established in 1987. Since then we have expanded throughout the process and automation industry constantly developing our products and services to keep up to date with the latest technology and our customers needs.
Our fully trained staff have the flexibility to provide a quick response to any of your service requirements and we can offer a full emergency back up if required.
As we have Safe Contractor accreditation you can rest assured that we have the correct systems and working practices in place.
All our products are marked with a crossed out wheelie bin symbol to alert customers to the fact that it must not be disposed of with general/household waste streams. It should be separated from other waste and sent to approved treatment facilities for safe recycling or disposal as otherwise it may cause harm to human health and the environment.”

Control Panels
EDAs production department can with the aid of CAD, design your bespoke control assemblies to your exact requirements with all drawings approved before construction commences so you know exactly what you are to receive.
We can also manufacture control assemblies from your own schematics using your preferred control gear as required.
Our control assemblies are constructed using high grade proven components to guarantee the reliability of your assembly as we know how costly manufacturing down time can be.
Installations
At EDA our Electrical Engineers offer a complete and fully integrated design with particular attention to electrical safety and compliance to the latest British Standard regulations.
We have the capability to undertake a vast spectrum of electrical installations within the industry: L.V Distribution and switch gear, Power Factor Correction, Process Control Systems, Computer and Data Cabling within a vast array of business from Food Manufacturing, Breweries/Distilleries, Industrial Incinerators and Bio plants to name but a few.
Together with the availability of over 20 electrical engineers EDA can carry out both large and long term projects.
We operate a nationwide service and if required venture into Europe and beyond.
H.V Distribution
EDA have the capability to undertake H.V projects and have access to qualified switching engineers.
Oil samples can be taken from your transformer and sent for analysis with full report being generated.
We are able to supply transformers both new and refurbished together with necessary ground work and security fencing for your project.
Software
Together with our control assemblies, our software engineers will provide complete automation solutions for your project.
An FDS will be produced by the software engineers to ensure your system will operate “in the way you want it”, not how we think it should work.
SCADA systems are also custom built to your requirements so you control your system exactly as you want.
We invite customers to our premises to FAT the systems this enables the fine tuning of both PLC software and HMI performance thus reducing on-site commission time.
Our engineers are experience with many PLC manufactures, so we can integrate with most existing systems.
Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Schneider & Mitsubishi.
We are also able to upgrade existing PLC based system with any of the above systems.
Test & Inspection
All installations are tested and inspected in accordance to BS7671:2015 amendment 3, IEE wiring regulation 17th Edition. (With qualification taking place to encompass IEE wiring regulation 18th Edition). Certificates are issued to the client in either paper or electronic format.
We can also offer on-site PAT testing of equipment and remedial work as required.
EDA can test both HV and LV installation for commercial, industrial and domestic properties as required by many insurance companies.
